Causes and remedies for fire caused by electricity.

1] Loose connection: When connecting wires in an electrical circuit or when connecting to a device or if the connection is loose, there is sparking even with a slight push. That can cause a fire.

2] Short circuit: A short circuit occurs when the phase wire and the neutral wire in the electrical circuit come in direct contact. Short circuits cause sparking and that sparking can cause a fire.

3] Overloading: Due to a short circuit in the electrical circuit or excess load is added to the circuit, causing excess current to flow through the circuit. The excessive current generates excessive heat and burns the insulation on the wire. This also increases the risk of fire.

4] Precautions to be taken for extinguishing electric fire:

In case of fire due to electricity, first, turn off the main switch of the circuit to extinguish the fire. If it is not possible to reach the main switch at that time, break the supply wire with the help of an insulated clamp and disconnect the power supply. If there is an electric fire while the power supply is on, do not try to extinguish the fire by pouring water on it.

Because water is the carrier of electricity. That is why it is possible to carry electricity through the flow of water, so sand or fire extinguishers should be used to extinguish fires without water.

If there are explosives like petrol, diesel, etc. near the fire, they should be removed.
