Objective: To make a straight joint of 1/18 P.V.C copper wire.
Material: 1/18 P.V.C Copper Wire, Electrical Tape, Cotton Waste.
Tools: Combination Plier 200mm, Electronic Knife, Side Cutting Plier, Steel Roll
Action:
1] Divide the given wire into two equal parts with the help of plier.
2] Insulation was removed by approximately 2 to 3 cm of each wire.
3] As shown in the figure, place the wire cross at a distance of 2 to 3 cm from the insulation and twist the wires six to eight times by placing the other conductor on one conductor with the help of thumb and finger.
4] Now complete the joint by wrapping it on the remaining second conductor as in the first method.
5] Put a cotton twist on the end of the wire and press it with the help of a plier
Usage: This joint is used to increase the length of the star.
Precautions: When removing the insulation of the wire, care should be taken that the plier or knife does not fall on the conductor. Each turn should be close and covered.
The number of turns on either side of the joint should be the same.
